<p>It sounds like you want an inverter.  It changes the 12 VDC from your car to 120 VAC to power something like a drill or TV or something like that.  They&#8217;re easy to find.  Almost any sporting goods store, auto store, Radio Shack, WalMart, etc, will have them.  Just has for an inverter for your car and the clerk should know what you&#8217;re talking about.
