Ebook reader?

What’s a good ebook reader trademark? I don’t mean to spend $400 in one..

What do mean by ‘ebook reader’? I use Microsoft Reader for .lit files, Mobipocket, which reads most other ebook formats, and Adobe Reader for Pocket PC for pdfs.

If you mean, what’s a good PDA to read ebooks on… I’m particularly fond of my Acer. The iPaqs are fab, but you don’t need something that expensive if you’re only using it for ebooks. Acers are nice reliable little pieces of kit, and you can usually pick up an N30 or N35 for under £150 on eBay.

MS Reader comes with Windows Mobile
Mobipocket is freeware, which you can download here: http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/ProductDetailsReader.asp
Adobe Reader for Pocket PC is also freeware, found here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readerforppc.html

With those three you should be able to read pretty much anything.

What is a good and cheap portable eBook or pdf reader?

What is a good and cheap portable eBook or pdf reader? And where would they be available in SG? I’d welcome any good suggestions / ideas.

Right now the two most popular ebook readers are the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader. The Kindle will not be available if you’re outside the U.S. so I’ll suggest you to go for the Sony Reader. It is not expensive and there is a good review here:

Which digital book reader should I get and how many are there to choose from?

I wanna get a digital book reader, I know about the kindle and thats sold out, and i know about sony’s. I was just wondering if there were anymore to choose from, that are available in north america. And if anyone has reviews or problems they want to share with me. also was wondering if I can put whatever sort of text i want onto them.

Where can i find Dale Carnegie’s and others self help ebooks in mobipocket format( .prc, .mobi) for free.?

Where can i find Dale Carnegie’s and others self help ebooks in mobipocket format( .prc, .mobi) for free.

And i also need an oxford or cambridge dictionary in mobipocket format.

Carnagie’s books are covered by copyright and haven’t been released as free ebooks.

There are free self-help ebooks at a lot of websites, but most are PDF; you’ll need some conversion software to turn them into Mobi/PRC books.
