Yes. Provided you’ve got suitable connectors at both ends. The red wire in +5volts. The black wire is ground. The green and white are data (and work either way around)

I live in Canada and I have a charger for my iPod that plugs into the wall. It’s a Dynex iPod & MP3 AC Wall Charger (DX-IPAC2B). I’m going to Europe and need to know if I should buy a voltage converter to use with my ipod and charger? Or will just a regular adapter plus be good enough?

Europe uses 220V and US 110V. Now days a lot of electronic devices such as laptops, digital cameras are dual voltage that is 110V and 220V compatible. However, if they are not then you will need a power converter from 220V(Europe) to 110V (US)

The most important thing about the power converter is Watts. Check your electronic appliance with the highest watts and buy an adapter that support that wattage. For example if you hair curler consumes 800W buy a 800W or higher converter.

Your laptop should continue to work fine so long the voltage of the power charger is the same as the battery used on your laptop.

It sounds like you want an inverter. It changes the 12 VDC from your car to 120 VAC to power something like a drill or TV or something like that. They’re easy to find. Almost any sporting goods store, auto store, Radio Shack, WalMart, etc, will have them. Just has for an inverter for your car and the clerk should know what you’re talking about. Or check out the web site below.
